According to the regional office of Tasnim news agency, “Zamir Kabulov, Russia’s special representative for Afghanistan affairs, told reporters that Moscow supports Afghanistan joining the Shanghai Cooperation Organization after the Taliban government is recognized.
Shanghai is primarily an economic organization, and for this reason, Afghanistan must organize its economy in some way so that other members of this organization see it as logical.
Maulvi Abdul Kabir, the political deputy of the Taliban government’s prime minister, had previously asked the Beijing government to support Kabul’s participation in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization meeting as an observer member in a meeting with the Chinese ambassador.
It should be said that the countries of China, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Iran, India and Pakistan are members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
Currently, the countries of Afghanistan, Mongolia, Belarus, Iraq and Sri Lanka are also present as observer members in this organization.
