The manufacture of ammunition should be opened with the participation of the private sector. According to this Iraqi official, due to the high demand of various sectors of the military and security forces, the manufacture of reconnaissance drones, the manufacture of mortars and grenades, and armored vehicles. , electronic devices, communications, thermal cameras and the revival of heavy artillery are on the agenda of the Iraqi War Industries Organization next year. They don’t have military users, but they are supposed to be used in the field of monitoring power lines, oil facilities, as well as for spraying agricultural crops and monitoring the borders.” The head of the Iraq War Industries Organization added. : “We are trying to transfer the necessary technology from specialized companies in this field in order to localize it, which of course also has the possibility of research and development”.

According to Mustafa Ati, many Iraq’s neighboring countries are trying to localize defense industries, which will strengthen their security, power and sovereignty.

Iraq organized an exhibition of security-military industries in Baghdad on March 13 last year. More than 50 countries, including Iran, participated in it. An exhibition on the sidelines of which the Iraqi government signed several agreements with various companies in order to transfer technology and localize its defense industries.
