Reactions to America’s veto of the ceasefire resolution in Gaza
Different countries reacted to the US action in vetoing the ceasefire resolution in Gaza. |
According to the report of Fars News Agency International Group, the action of the United States in vetoing a resolution in the Security Council demanding a ceasefire in Gaza was met with the reaction of the Zionist regime and various countries.
The United States of America vetoed the UN Security Council resolution to establish an immediate ceasefire in Gaza on Saturday morning. 13 council members voted in favor of this resolution. England abstained from that vote and America vetoed it.
After this vote, Israel representative Gilad Erdan sent a message on X social network to the Joe Biden administration for “strong support for Israel.”
He described the resolution as “distorted” and claimed that a ceasefire would only be possible when all prisoners in Gaza are freed and Hamas is destroyed.
Dmitry Polyansky, Russia’s deputy representative to the United Nations, said that the council’s inaction has caused widespread destruction in Gaza and humanitarian disaster.
Polyansky stated: “Once America’s diplomacy is leaving a scorched earth and destruction.” Will you give?”
Nicolas de Riviere, the representative of France, said that “once again this council has failed.” He stated that “France is deeply concerned about the human tragedy that is happening in Gaza and that is why France voted in favor of this resolution.”
The representative of France said: “This council failed because of lack of unity and because they did not show true commitment to negotiations.”
