Cancellation of Iran’s one-way visas with a number of Central Asian countries
Iran unilaterally canceled the entry visas of nationals of a number of countries in the region, including Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. |
According to the reporter of Fars news agency’s regional office, Ezzatullah Zarghami, Minister of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism, said: This ministry proposed canceling visas with 32 countries in the government meeting, which was welcomed by the delegation.
Accordingly, Iran canceled visas for citizens of Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and 29 other countries unilaterally.
Iran also canceled visas for Indian citizens.
It is said that on November 17 of this year, during Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi’s visit to Tajikistan, the foreign ministers of Iran and Tajikistan signed the visa-free travel document between the two countries in the presence of the heads of the two countries.
More than a month has passed, the Tajik side has not yet officially announced the implementation of this document.
