A special Christmas knife “security package” was announced in Germany

Nancy Fesser, the German Minister of the Interior, asked the state authorities to strictly implement the ban on carrying knives in Christmas markets.
He further emphasized that violators will face heavy fines.
Nancy Fezer said: Anyone who violates the law prohibiting the carrying of knives will face a fine of up to 10,000 euros. There will be no tolerance in this regard.
The German official added that with the approval of the new “security package”, the carrying of knives in the Christmas markets will be banned and this will provide more security for visitors.
The Minister of the Interior of Germany also announced the massive presence of the police in Christmas markets.
