Trade exchanges between Turkmenistan and Afghanistan will increase to one billion dollars

According to the regional office of Tasnim News Agency, Rashid Muradov, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, visited the North Herat has called for the formulation of a joint strategy for the development of trade between the two sides. During his trip to Turghandi in the north of Herat, he visited the construction of the railway between Afghanistan and Turkmenistan. Foreign Affairs, Trade and Industry and Mines of the Taliban government also discussed the “Tapi” gas transmission project in a meeting with the Turkmen delegation and emphasized its implementation.
Taliban Foreign Minister Amir Khan Motaghi emphasized the increase of relations. The trade between Afghanistan and Turkmenistan has said that the TAPI project will also start after several decades of efforts. He added that all the work to start the drilling of the TAPI gas transmission pipelines in Afghanistan has been completed.
The work of the Turkmenistan gas transmission project from Afghanistan to Pakistan and India (TAPI) started in 2016, but since then, technical, political and security problems have always been one of the main challenges on the way to the realization of this project.
