According to the international group Tasnim News Agency, the Presidential Election Commission in Egypt announced that Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi has been elected as the president of this country by winning 89.6 percent of the votes for a new 6-year period. The names of “Farid Zahran”, the head of the Democratic Party of Egypt, “Abd al-Sand Yamameh” from the Wafd Party, which is considered a liberal party, and “Hazem Omar” from the People’s Republic Party competed. Egypt is experiencing difficult economic conditions with inflation close to 40% and the country’s national currency has lost 50% of its value.
