White House National Security Advisor in Interview: “Trump Prefers to Reach Agreement with Iran”
According to the English section of “webangah News Agency,” citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, Mike Waltz, National Security Advisor to former U.S. President Donald Trump, stated in an interview on sunday that President Trump discussed ending the war in Ukraine with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The White House national Security Advisor added: “President Trump is determined to end the war in Ukraine through diplomacy and dialog with both sides! He intends to use a carrot-and-stick approach to bring Russia and Ukraine to the negotiating table.”
Al Jazeera reported that Waltz further emphasized discussions on territorial sovereignty, guarantees against renewed conflict, and Europe’s responsibility to fulfill its obligations. “We will reach a mineral agreement with ukraine, and the president is committed to achieving it,” he said.
Without addressing the peaceful nature of Tehran’s nuclear program, Waltz noted: “president Trump has made it clear that Iran will not possess nuclear weapons—and prefers reaching an agreement on this matter.”
