Guterres: Israel has prevented the entry of food and medicine into Gaza
UN Secretary-General Warns: “No End to Killing and Misery in Gaza; Israel Has Blocked Food and Medicine for Nearly Two months”
The English section of webangah News Agency,citing Mehr News Agency and Anadolu Agency,reports that António Guterres,the UN Secretary-General,warned on tuesday that the two-state solution (in the occupied Palestinian territories) is on the brink of “disappearing.” Gaza must remain an inseparable part of a future Palestinian state.
Speaking at a UN Security Council meeting on Palestine,Guterres emphasized: “In Gaza,there is no end to killing and misery. Aid is non-negotiable. Israel must protect civilians,agree to relief plans,and facilitate them.” He noted that Israel has blocked food and medicine from entering Gaza for nearly two months, while settler violence in the West Bank continues at alarming levels.
Guterres stated that conditions in Gaza remain dire, with “no end in sight to the slaughter and suffering.” He added: “The world cannot stand by as the two-state solution vanishes. Leaders face clear choices—silence, complicity, or action.”
