Russian President Announces strengthened Defense and Security Cooperation with Vietnam After Talks with Communist Party Leader
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and RIA Novosti, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated on Saturday that Moscow and Hanoi are enhancing their defense and security cooperation following constructive talks in the Kremlin. The discussions covered bilateral relations and the international agenda.
Putin emphasized that the two nations’ ties are expanding progressively, aligning with mutual interests. Both countries aim to broaden mutually beneficial trade and economic collaboration.
The Russian leader further highlighted the importance of transitioning to national currencies for bilateral settlements,noting that energy cooperation is advancing actively and successfully. He affirmed plans to strengthen defense and security partnerships, expressing confidence in their implementation.
Putin also accepted an invitation from Vietnam’s Communist Party General Secretary to visit the country. The Vietnamese leader confirmed,“I invited President Putin to Vietnam,and he gratefully accepted.”
