Biden diagnosed with aggressive prostate cancer
According to webangah News Agency, new medical tests confirm that former US President Joe Biden has advanced prostate cancer.
A personal statement released by Biden’s office on Sunday revealed he has an aggressive form of prostate cancer that has metastasized to his bones. The statement noted: “Last week, Biden underwent examination after doctors detected a new nodule in his prostate and worsening urinary symptoms. On Friday, tests confirmed a Gleason 9 (Grade Group 5) prostate cancer diagnosis with bone metastases.”
While acknowledging the aggressive nature of the disease, the statement added: “Biden’s cancer appears hormone-sensitive, which allows for effective management options.”
The 86-year-old former president and his family are currently reviewing treatment plans with his medical team. An informed source indicated Biden is spending this weekend at his Wilmington, delaware home.
The diagnosis comes days after Biden’s spokesperson disclosed he had undergone examination for a “small nodule” in his prostate. Concerns about Biden’s age and health persisted throughout his presidency – during which he was America’s oldest serving president - and intensified following his poor performance in last June’s debate against Donald Trump.
Since leaving the White House, Biden has maintained limited public appearances but gradually increased visibility. Earlier this month, he appeared on ABC’s The View with wife Jill Biden to address speculation about cognitive decline during his final presidential year.
