51 trucks carrying medical aid stranded at Gaza border
the World Health organization (WHO) has warned of the dire healthcare crisis in Gaza, revealing that 51 trucks carrying medical supplies remain stranded at border crossings without entry permits. The alert was issued in an official statement cited by webangah News Agency.
The WHO reported catastrophic shortages: 64% of medical equipment, 43% of critical medicines, and 42% of vaccines have been wholly depleted, signaling the collapse of Gaza’s health system under blockade.
A severe lack of injectable solutions, syringes, and bandages is obstructing surgical treatments—including anesthesia and fracture care. Vital medications like antibiotics, painkillers, and chronic disease drugs are available only in “minimal quantities,” requiring urgent replenishment.
