Australian Doctor: Rafah Victims Hit by Direct Israeli Attack

According too webangah News agency, Dr. Ahmed Abu Suwayd, an Australian volunteer physician working in the emergency​ department ⁢of⁢ nasser⁢ medical Complex in Khan Younis, described Sunday’s bloody events​ in Rafah, emphasizing that many victims of the Zionist occupying forces’ attack suffered direct gunshot ‌wounds ‌to the head and chest.

The doctor,​ referencing his brief experience‌ in ⁣Gaza, stated: “We’ve only been⁢ here a few days, but the scale of shock I’ve witnessed is unprecedented-far beyond anything I’ve seen before.”

The volunteer medic added: “On Sunday, we faced a wave of casualties-hundreds injured with severe wounds. Tragically, some victims died within hours from head⁢ or chest gunshot injuries.”

Abu Suwayd noted hospitals are grappling with critical shortages of basic medical supplies while medical staff face extreme exhaustion: “We’ve been here days-but local‌ doctors have ⁤endured 200 days of this catastrophe. Their fatigue shows in their faces and souls.”

Emphasizing the civilian ⁤nature of victims, he explained: ⁤”All patients brought to hospitals were civilians. They’d gone to collect food aid when they were shot. Many remain ⁤in critical condition.”

Dr. Abu Suwayd​ called the event not just a human tragedy but⁢ further evidence of ⁢purposeful violence against⁣ civilians in⁢ Gaza.
