Russian Army Makes Rapid Advances in Ukraine – Video
According to webangah News Agency, citing Russian sources, Moscow’s forces have made further territorial gains in their conflict with Ukraine.
The sources stated that Russian troops have liberated additional territories and are advancing toward Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, a central Ukrainian region.
Data from the U.S.-based Institute for the Study of war shows Russia’s military advances in June considerably outpaced those of May (507 sq km), April (379 sq km), and March (240 sq km). Two-thirds of last month’s gains occurred in Donetsk Oblast-eastern Ukraine’s primary conflict zone over the past two years. Moscow now controls 75% of Donetsk, up from 61% last year.
Russian forces have also reinforced their presence in Sumy Oblast, northeastern Ukraine. After a two-year absence during redeployment to eastern fronts, troops returned this spring and have reclaimed approximately 320 sq km as January-130 sq km captured just last month.
