Kremlin Responds to CNN Report on Trump’s Threat to Bomb Moscow
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Arabiya, Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin spokesperson, addressed CNN’s report on possessing an audio file attributed to former U.S. President Donald Trump. In this recording,Trump allegedly threatens Moscow with bombing. Peskov said Moscow does not confirm the authenticity of this file.
CNN reported that during a 2024 fundraiser meeting with his backers, Trump claimed he previously attempted to prevent a Russian attack on Ukraine by threatening bombing Moscow.
Peskov commented that “fake files often outnumber genuine information,” making it unclear whether this audio recording is credible. He added that “there were no conversations at that time; we are referring to a period before Trump became president.”
The Kremlin spokesperson also addressed Trump’s recent rhetoric and shift in tone toward Moscow, stating: “He (Trump) is known for using harsh language, but the Kremlin takes this calmly.”
According to Peskov, there is no disagreement between Russia and the united states regarding the war in Ukraine. “the parties are willing to resolve the issue through political and diplomatic channels-and do so quickly.”
