London: Temporary Ceasefire Alone Insufficient to Alleviate Gaza’s Suffering
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, David lammy, UK Foreign Secretary, today Sunday claimed-without addressing Britain’s support for the Israeli regime-that a temporary ceasefire declared by the Israeli military is necessary to open humanitarian corridors. The delivery of aid to Gaza must be accelerated.
Lammy added: “we need a ceasefire that ends this war. A temporary truce alone is not enough to ease the suffering of people in Gaza. We support efforts by Qatar and Egypt as mediators working toward a ceasefire in Gaza and call on all parties to resume negotiations aimed at achieving peace.”
This comes as former US President Donald Trump yesterday made antagonistic remarks against Palestine, alleging that Hamas does not want an agreement and must be eliminated.
Trump said: “We have exited the Gaza negotiation process.”
