US Special Forces Conduct Covert Operation in Iraq Near Syrian Border
Iraqi sources report secret and covert movements of U.S. special forces within Iraq, near the shared border with Syria.
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al-Maloomah, informed sources revealed that U.S. special forces were observed last night deep in the desert of Anbar province.
They added that these forces are conducting unspecified operations, raising many questions as these activities take place close to the syrian border.
The sources emphasized that over the past three months, U.S. special forces have been stationed at Ain al-Asad base, where they have exhibited unexplained movements.
Recently, an informed source also reported sudden security activity at Ain al-Asad base in western Anbar, accompanied by drone flights and the deployment of American troops around the area.
