UK-Israel Tensions Escalate Amid Gaza War, Settlements
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Financial Times has reported that relations between the United Kingdom and the Israeli regime are moving towards increased tensions in light of the Gaza war, the aggressions of Zionist settlers, and settlement construction projects in the West Bank.
The report indicates that Prime Minister Netanyahu mockingly referred to the UK as the Islamic Republic last month, a statement London found unacceptable. Yair Netanyahu also described the British government as anti-Semitic and communist, and sided with Argentina in the dispute over the Falkland Islands.
The Financial Times added that these stances signify an unprecedented decline in the level of bilateral relations between the UK and the Israeli regime, with analysts warning of further escalation of these tensions in the future.
A senior Israeli official, speaking to the newspaper, claimed that the situation is worsening and that no one can stop this tension.
These tensions threaten intelligence cooperation between the two sides, alongside trade exchanges exceeding £6 billion. Furthermore, the Israeli regime intends to expel British representatives from the Amekia coordination center in Gaza. In response, London may impose further sanctions on Zionist settlers.
Despite these developments, it is important to note that the United Kingdom, like other Western countries, supports the Israeli regime’s actions in the region, particularly against Muslim countries.
