Russia Pledges Increased BRICS Cooperation to Counter U.S. Sanctions
Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson announced that Moscow is ready to enhance cooperation with BRICS countries to counter the pressure of illegal US sanctions.
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing RIA Novosti via Mehr News Agency, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova issued a statement today, Monday, highlighting Moscow’s efforts to tackle the pressure from illegal US sanctions through collaboration with BRICS member states.
The spokesperson added that Russia is prepared to strengthen cooperation with Global South countries and BRICS members in response to these unlawful sanctions imposed by the United States.
In her statement, Maria Zakharova described US tariff policies toward Global South nations as an infringement on their sovereignty and a direct attempt to interfere in their internal affairs.
