Zelensky: Signals Sent by Russia Are Inappropriate
According to the English section of webangah news Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the signals Russia is currently sending are inappropriate.
He added that the Russians are attempting to avoid the necessity of holding a meeting.
On Thursday, Zelensky conditioned a possible meeting with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, on receiving security guarantees.
zelensky also mentioned Switzerland, Austria, and Turkey as potential hosts for a meeting with Putin.
On Tuesday, Zelensky told reporters he was ready for a possible encounter with Putin.
Following U.S. president Donald Trump’s meeting with Putin in Alaska, Zelensky and several European leaders were guests at the White House. During negotiations between Trump and Putin, Trump took a phone call from the Russian president.
