US Responds to European Troika’s Action Against Iran
The English service of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al mayadeen, reports that US Secretary of State Marco rubio welcomed the activation of the snapback mechanism against Iran by the European Troika. He accused Iran of violating its nuclear commitments.
In hostile remarks, Rubio stated that the United States, alongside France, Germany, the United Kingdom, and members of the UN Security Council, is working to complete the process of reinstating sanctions on Iran.
Rubio also claimed that the US remains ready for direct engagement with Iran.
The Iranian foreign Minister deemed this action by the three European countries unjustified, illegal, and without any legal basis. Recalling Iran’s responsible conduct and good-faith commitment to diplomacy in resolving nuclear-related issues, he emphasized that the Islamic Republic will respond appropriately to this illegal and unacceptable measure to protect its national rights and interests.
