Lavrov: Military and political tensions rise after Israeli attacks on Qatar
Russian Foreign Minister announces increased military adn political tensions following Israeli attacks on Qatar during joint meeting with GCC counterparts in Sochi.
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing RIA Novosti, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated today, Thursday, at a joint meeting with gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) foreign ministers in Sochi that Israel’s actions reflect Tel Aviv’s intent to undermine the possibility of establishing a Palestinian state.
Lavrov added that military and political tensions in the Middle East (West Asia) have sharply escalated following Israeli attacks targeting Hamas officials in Qatar.
The meeting between Russia’s foreign minister and his GCC counterparts is ongoing in Sochi, where participants are discussing cooperation issues and strategies for expanding their strategic relations.
