Tel Aviv’s Plans Thwarted in Egypt; Cairo Warns of “Declaration of War
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Maan, informed sources revealed that Cairo has decided to reduce its level of security coordination with the Israeli regime until further notice.
These sources emphasized that Egypt is reviewing the structure of its security communication channels with Israel following the Israeli attack on Doha. This move aims to protect Egypt’s sovereignty and its position as a mediator in the Gaza conflict.
Egyptian officials announced on Friday that Israeli plans to assassinate Hamas leaders within Egyptian territory have been thwarted. They also warned that carrying out such operations would be considered an act of war against Cairo and a violation of Egypt’s national sovereignty.
The Middle East Eye reported that Egyptian intelligence had previously succeeded in preventing Israeli assassination attempts against hamas leaders during ceasefire negotiations held in Cairo. The report stated that Tel Aviv had contemplated targeting these Palestinian figures in Cairo.
