Yemen: Our Red Sea Operation Targets Only Israel
The Yemeni Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized its commitment to maintaining the security and safety of international navigation in the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandeb Strait, according to webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Masirah.
The ministry added that Yemen’s policy is based on respecting international laws and protecting maritime routes within the framework of regional neighborly principles and collective security for countries in the area.
The statement further noted that strengthening maritime security and safeguarding regional waterways requires foreign military fleets, whose presence is illegal, to withdraw.
Yemen’s Foreign Ministry condemned the United States and Britain for militarizing the Red Sea and turning it into a conflict zone.It accused them of pursuing alliances unrelated to regional peoples’ interests.
The ministry stressed that Sana’a has proven to the international community that its operations in the Red Sea target Israel’s enemy forces and interests as a means to pressure them into stopping their crimes against Gaza.
