Confidential Message from Israeli Army to Netanyahu Sparks Controversy
The English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Russia Al-Youm, reported that Israeli Channel 13 revealed a confidential message from Eyal Zamir, Chief of Staff of the Israeli military, to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. In the message, Zamir warned about the potential consequences of a military strike on Gaza city.
The message stated that an assault on Gaza City lacks a clear objective and would endanger the lives of both Israeli soldiers and hostages.
This dialog was sent one day before Netanyahu’s meeting with U.S. president Donald Trump in Washington.
An Israeli military spokesperson described the message as highly sensitive and confidential, confirming it was delivered directly to Netanyahu and the Defense Minister.
Families of Israeli soldiers expressed strong anger after this report surfaced. They emphasized that officials are fully aware such operations put soldiers’ lives at risk but continue with these actions nonetheless.
