Tel Aviv Fears Egypt’s Trump Card: Will the F-35 Be Taken Down?
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Russia Al-Youm, the Israeli newspaper calcalist reported that the American F-15 fighter jet has become an easy target for the French Rafale fighter, which Egypt also operates.
The report notes a worrying fact: Egypt, Israel’s southern neighbor, possesses a large number of these Rafale jets. Its air force ranks among the best in the region and even worldwide. During NATO exercises in August 2025, it was demonstrated that the Rafale outperforms fighters such as the American F-35 and F-15 as well as Finland’s F-18C.
The report further emphasizes that images from this exercise show a rafale jet with an american F-35 clearly within its targeting range.Notably, Egypt is also trying to acquire Chinese J-10 fighters, which successfully shot down three Rafales during India-Pakistan conflicts. If Egypt succeeds in this acquisition, it could achieve air superiority over Israel.
