Significant Drop in American Support for Israel
The English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al jazeera qatar, reports that a New York Times poll has found American support for Israel has dropped to 34 percent.
This is down from 47 percent recorded immediately after the October 7 attack.
Experts attribute this shift to growing concerns over the humanitarian situation in Gaza and the broader consequences of the recent conflict in the region. They emphasize it’s impact on both U.S. domestic and foreign policies.
The poll reflects changing american public opinion toward Israeli military actions and increasing international pressure on the Zionist regime to pursue a fair and thorough solution for peace in the occupied Palestinian territories.
The New York Times survey also indicates that currently 35 percent of Americans side with the Palestinians, compared to just 20 percent after October 7.
According to the poll, “40 percent of Americans believe Israel deliberately kills civilians; this figure was around 20 percent just after October 7.”
The survey concludes that most American voters oppose sending additional economic and military aid to Israel.
