Abu Sharif: The US Is Not a Mediator but a Partner in the Occupation Project

The representative of⁣ the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement in⁢ Iran discussed the movement’s stance on Trump’s peace plan, coordination with Hamas in negotiations, and recent developments related ⁤to Gaza in an interview with a Yemeni media outlet.

According to the English section of webangah ​News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, Nasser Abu Sharif, the representative of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement in Iran, spoke to Yemen’s Al Masirah network. He highlighted the ‍global isolation and weakness of the Israeli regime and stressed the necessity of guaranteeing a full withdrawal of occupiers from Gaza. ⁣He also ⁢criticized divisions within‌ the Arab‌ world.

Abu Sharif stated: “We and all resistance factions share not only participation⁤ on the battlefield but also partnership with hamas during negotiations.”

He added: “There must be guarantees for a complete withdrawal [of Israeli forces] from Gaza, and all ​thes matters are being negotiated in Egypt.”

The Islamic Jihad representative emphasized: “Trump’s plan only concerns itself ⁣with‌ dozens of enemy prisoners while over 17,000 Palestinian detainees have been suffering for years in enemy prisons.”

He underscored: “We⁣ reject international governance or a high-ranking⁤ Western presence [to administer Gaza]; ⁤this is purely a Palestinian issue.”

Israel’s Isolation ‍and Changing Western Public Opinion

Abu‍ Sharif⁣ further pointed to pressure on Israel and⁣ it’s Western backers. He‌ said: “There is a clear⁣ feeling of isolation and hatred inside Israel itself. A profound shift has ⁤occurred within American society⁣ and across Western‌ countries regarding​ Israel.”

He noted: “This ​regime could not have sustained any current conflict without support from America ​and Western countries.”

Abu sharif stressed that Israel depends heavily on America. ‍Without Western backing,he said,it could not endure even briefly in this region.

Criticism of U.S. Positions and Arab World‍ Stance

The Islamic Jihad official criticized both America and some ⁤Arab states saying: “The United States has never been a mediator; rather it ‌is indeed part of an agenda driven by Israel.”

He affirmed: “We do not trust america or its Western allies;⁢ nor do ‌we trust Israel ‌or ‌its supporters.”

Abu Sharif welcomed any support for Palestinians as well as strong resistance against genocide. However, he warned against any broad normalization efforts by Arab states toward Israel ⁣at Palestine’s expense.

The representative reiterated Israeli dependence on the ​West while criticizing actions taken by arab countries.

He ‌claimed that Zionist leaderships were secular but ‌misled ⁣Christians into supporting pro-Israel movements.

Abu Sharif described the so-called “Greater Israel” project as⁣ part of Zionism’s colonial ​ambitions.

The Palestinian official insisted that Arab nations should have severed political and diplomatic relations with Israel to change⁣ regional equations.

Praising yemen, he said‌ it emerged from prolonged war yet fulfilled its duties honorably-becoming today a respected nation.

It said Yemen confronted ⁣America directly forcing washington to​ withdraw from confrontation with Yemeni armed forces at this stage.

He concluded ⁢by saying they do not call upon Arab governments to mobilize militarily‌ but seek political, diplomatic, and economic stances against Israel alone.
