Al-Mashat: On October 7, Palestinians Regained Their Dignity
Mahdi al-Mashat, Chairman of Yemen’s Supreme Political council, described the Al-Aqsa Storm operation as a historic declaration of victory by a people who refused to be buried alive and affirmed their rights and commitment to their land and holy sites, according to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Al-‘Alam al-Harbi.
He emphasized that Al-Aqsa Storm represents a legitimate response to decades of oppression, crimes, and actions by Zionists in the massacre of the Palestinian people. This operation embodies the right to self-defense guaranteed by all laws and religions.
Al-Mashat highlighted that Al-Aqsa Storm marks a strategic shift in the Palestinian arena and a turning point in the conflict with the Zionist enemy aimed at crushing plans for Judaizing Jerusalem and eradicating the Palestinian cause. The operation blocked any path towards “normalization” efforts and demonstrated globally that as long as fighters remain alive, Palestine’s cause will not die.
Referring specifically to October 7, he said Palestinians regained their dignity on that day. Their heroic acts shattered myths about an allegedly invincible army while exposing its intelligence weaknesses.
He stated that confronting the Zionist enemy is not merely one option among many but is rather the only way to reclaim rights from an occupier who understands no language other than force.
Over two years,al-Mashat noted,Palestinian resistance has forged a new legend of patience and endurance. Through sacrifices made by Palestinians themselves, it has created some of modern history’s greatest heroic epics.
The senior Yemeni official stressed that Palestine-with its deep roots in history and in Islamic conscience-will remain a central issue. He expressed deep respect for Palestinians who perform daily miracles of steadfastness despite facing brutal killing machines alongside an unprecedented siege aimed at intentional starvation.
Al-Mashat reaffirmed yemen’s support for Palestinians until halting aggression, lifting sieges, and achieving full rights take place. He condemned unlimited American support at all levels as full complicity in zionist genocide against Palestinians.
Citing Zionist schemes aimed at erasing Arab-Islamic identity across the region alongside continued attacks on Lebanon and Syria, he praised all defenders of freedom-especially Hezbollah-as well as Iraqi resistance groups and Iran for standing firmly with oppressed Palestinians.
