Trump Thanks Egyptian Counterpart
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, quoting Al Jazeera via Mehr News Agency, U.S. President Donald Trump met with his Egyptian counterpart Abdel Fattah el-Sisi before attending the Sharm El-Sheikh summit. Trump claimed, “We are going through a very special period in the Middle East (West Asia). Egypt has played a very crucial role in this agreement. We always support President el-Sisi and respect Egypt’s leadership. We will see meaningful progress in the Middle East.”
In an apparent effort to draw media attention, Trump added, “I think Iran will join this group; they need help!”
Disregarding the peaceful nature of Tehran’s nuclear program, Trump falsely argued to justify his country’s aggression against Iran contrary to international conventions: “If we hadn’t bombed Iran’s nuclear facilities, ther would have been no Gaza agreement!”
The U.S. president did not condemn Zionist occupiers’ crimes against Gaza’s oppressed population but said, “Gaza is full of rubble and destruction and requires a broad cleansing operation. The second phase of Gaza peace talks has begun.”
At the end of his conversation with el-Sisi, Donald Trump refused to shake hands with his Egyptian counterpart.
