Petro to Trump: You Are Brazen and Unfamiliar with Colombia!

Colombian ⁢president ‍reacted to an⁤ insult ⁣from his ‍U.S. counterpart, calling Trump “brazen,” saying he does not‍ know ⁣Colombia and should study the country carefully.

According to the English section ‍of webangah News Agency, quoting Mehr News Agency and Al Mayadeen, Colombian President Gustavo Petro responded to ⁤a⁢ derogatory message from U.S. President Donald ‍Trump, who labeled him a “leader of illegal drugs” and ​a “disreputable and ⁣highly unpopular figure.” Petro addressed Trump by saying, “Colombia has never been disrespectful toward ‍America, but you ⁢are brazen and do not know‌ Colombia.”

Petro further told⁣ Trump, “I am not a businessman like you. I am a socialist who believes in ⁣aid,public welfare,and the common interests of humanity.”

The Colombian president added that he advises Trump to ⁣study Colombia ​carefully and distinguish between ⁢drug traffickers’ positions and those of Democrats.

“The biggest enemy of drug‌ trafficking in this country in the 21st century was someone who exposed its ties with political power in Colombia -⁤ that⁢ is me,” he said.

Gustavo Petro emphasized‍ that Trump has been misled⁢ by his party and⁤ advisers.

The Colombian defense minister also stated that​ any statement against President Petro insults all Colombians. ⁤He emphasized that their president is committed to ⁤eradicating drug trafficking. Colombia stands firm with absolute ‌dedication to rooting ‍out narcotics trafficking.

It should be⁤ noted that after President petro reported the killing of a Colombian fisherman by the U.S.‍ military and demanded ⁢an⁢ explanation from Washington, the U.S. president threatened to halt budgetary payments or subsidies ⁤to Colombia as-he​ claimed-the country’s president “does nothing”⁢ to stop drug production.
