Iraq Continues Distribution of Election Cards
the Deputy Spokesperson of Iraq’s High Electoral Commission, Nebras Abusoudeh, told webangah News Agency that the distribution of election cards to voters will proceed without pause until the day of voting. This ensures all Iraqi citizens can receive their cards and participate in the elections.
He added that the commission does not delay distributing any printed cards and will continue issuing them to citizens both before and after election day.
Abusoudeh emphasized that citizens who have not updated their identity information or completed biometric registration can visit registration centers to obtain a card containing biometric data.
The spokesperson also confirmed that Iraqi citizens residing abroad retain their right to vote inside iraq. According to the law, they may cast their ballots in their home provinces on election day.
It is noteworthy that Iraq’s parliamentary elections are scheduled for November 11, 2025.
