Turkish Foreign Minister Consults with Egyptian and Jordanian Counterparts

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Anadolu, Turkish Foreign minister Hakan Fidan spoke separately by phone with Badr Abdel-Aati, Egypt’s Foreign Minister, and ayman Safadi, Jordan’s Foreign minister.
Sources within Turkey’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that Fidan discussed ongoing efforts to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza with both ministers.
The talks also focused on steps being taken toward a permanent ceasefire in Gaza, according to the sources.
Previously, former U.S. President Donald Trump announced that Tel Aviv and Hamas reached an agreement on the first phase of Washington’s plan for a ceasefire and prisoner exchange. This deal was made thru indirect negotiations in Sharm El-Sheikh involving Turkey, Egypt, Qatar, and under U.S. supervision.
