Trump Issues 48-Hour Ultimatum to Hamas Threatening Action

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, quoting Mehr News Agency and TASS, US President Donald Trump once again threatened Hamas over the return of Israeli prisoner remains.
In a message on his social media platform Truth Social, Trump claimed that Hamas must promptly begin returning the bodies of deceased prisoners, including two Americans. Or else, other countries involved in this major peace effort will take action.
He further stated that he would “closely” monitor Hamas’s activities over the next 48 hours.
Mear has reported that one of the critical issues in implementing Gaza’s ceasefire is Israel’s repeated demands regarding the handover of Israeli prisoners’ corpses. Under phase one of Trump’s plan, Hamas was obligated to return 28 bodies by October 13, 2025; however, only nine have been delivered while the rest remain buried under Gaza’s rubble.
Hamas has said it requires specialized equipment to search through debris caused by Israeli bombings. Israel, though, views this as a lack of commitment and continues to block reopening the Rafah crossing for humanitarian aid deliveries.
