Erdogan Stresses Need to Maintain Ceasefire Between Pakistan and Afghanistan

Turkey’s President Emphasizes Continued Consultations with Pakistani and Afghan‌ Officials to Maintain the Ceasefire Between the Two⁣ Countries.

According to the English section⁢ of webangah ⁣News Agency, ⁢citing Mehr News Agency and Hurriyet newspaper, Turkey’s Presidential Communications Directorate reported on a meeting between President recep Tayyip‌ Erdoğan and Pakistan’s Prime Minister⁢ Shehbaz Sharif in Baku.⁤ The report‍ stated‌ that ‌Ankara is closely monitoring terrorist attacks in Pakistan and also⁣ tensions between Islamabad and Kabul.

During the meeting, Erdoğan expressed hope that dialogue between Afghanistan and Pakistan would lead to⁤ lasting peace between the two nations.

He added​ that Turkey⁣ and Pakistan​ are​ strengthening cooperation in trade, energy,‍ and defense ‌industries.

The Turkish president also stressed the necessity of⁣ maintaining the ceasefire in⁤ Gaza and pursuing this matter within ​the framework of the United Nations.

Erdoğan and Shehbaz Sharif traveled to ⁤Baku on ⁢Saturday to attend ⁢azerbaijan’s Victory Day ceremony.
