Moscow: Putin Has Not Ordered Preparations for Nuclear Tests

Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin spokesperson, said Sunday that Russia and China do not conduct nuclear weapons tests. He emphasized that President Vladimir putin has not issued any order to start preparing for nuclear tests. ”we first need to assess whether Russia needs to take such action,” he added, stressing that the decision to carry out nuclear testing must be thoroughly considered.
Peskov further noted that Putin has repeatedly affirmed Russia’s commitment to its obligations under the ban on nuclear testing. However,if another country violates these commitments,Russia may be forced to act in order to maintain strategic parity.
Regarding advanced technologies like Burevestnik and Poseidon,Peskov described them as cutting-edge global developments that could eventually appear in other countries but not in the near future. He also called on Washington to clarify claims made by former President Trump about nuclear testing, stating, “This is a very serious matter.”
