Shoigu: Resolving the Palestine Issue Is Only Possible Within International Law
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Sputnik via Mehr News Agency, Russia’s Security Council press service announced that Sergey Shoigu, Secretary of Russia’s Security Council, met with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi on Sunday and discussed resolving the Palestinian issue based on international law.
The press release from Russia’s Security Council stated that during the meeting, Sergey Shoigu saeid: “A comprehensive resolution of the Palestinian conflict solely based on international law is the only practical and feasible solution.”
The statement added that Shoigu welcomed Cairo’s assistance in settling regional disputes, especially in Gaza. He emphasized that a comprehensive settlement of the Palestinian conflict grounded in recognized principles of international law remains the only viable path forward.
