American Analyst: Europe Lacks Sufficient Power to Confront Russia

According to the english section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, Scott Ritter, a military analyst and former US navy intelligence officer, told RIA Novosti that Europe does not pose a important threat to Russia.
He added that Europe is unable to implement the statements of its political leaders. No European country possesses ample military power or the capability to face Russia effectively.
The analyst believes European countries have limited operational capacity and focus more on political and military posturing than actual combat actions.
European nations are attempting to address their military shortcomings within the framework of NATO by increasing defense budgets among member states.
The United States has announced plans to withdraw part of its forces from Europe, a move that compounds the continent’s challenges in defending itself against external threats.
