Moscow Emphasizes Achieving Ukraine War Goals Through Diplomacy
Dmitry Peskov,the Kremlin spokesperson,told reporters that Russia is fully prepared to negotiate and aims to achieve its goals through political and diplomatic channels,according to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing TASS.
He emphasized that Russia’s position remains unchanged and has been repeatedly underscored by President Vladimir Putin.
The administration of former U.S. President Donald Trump proposed a 28-point plan to end the war between Ukraine and Russia. Under this proposal, Kyiv would cede part of its territory to Moscow in exchange for security guarantees and accept certain military restrictions.
European Union members and other Ukrainian allies have responded negatively to the U.S. plan, calling it an accommodation of Russian demands. The White House stated that Trump’s proposal reflects both parties’ interests and ensures mutual benefits.
