Dangerous Zionist Infiltration into Southern Syria and Efforts to Establish Settlements
According to the English section of webangah News agency, quoting Mehr news Agency via Al Jazeera, the Israeli military radio reported that 13 Israeli settlers crossed into Syrian territory, infiltrating the regions of Jabal al-Sheikh and Bir Ajam in southern Syria.
A spokesperson for the Israeli army confirmed this report,stating that all 13 infiltrators were safely returned to the occupied territories.
The spokesperson claimed, ”The entry of these settlers into Syrian borders is a serious incident, and we will hand them over to the police for legal proceedings.”
Israel’s i24 network also reported that those who entered Syria are settlers trying to establish a new settlement there.
The Hebrew newspaper Haaretz added that members of an extremist group called “Pioneers of Bashan” violated the Syrian border today.Their goal is to create settlements as part of what they call a “Bashan Envelope,” similar in concept to Gaza’s envelope, in southern Syria.
The aggressive actions by these Israeli settlers and occupying forces in southern Syria come despite statements from regime leader Julani since taking power in Syria. He has emphasized having no hostility toward Israel; however, such declarations have not deterred Israel from its ongoing aggression and occupation efforts in southern Syria.
