Pope Arrives in Beirut

Pope Leo XIV arrived in Beirut’s Rafic Hariri International Airport on a historic visit.
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Al Mayadeen via Mehr News Agency, Pope Leo XIV, leader of the Catholic Church, has landed at Beirut’s Rafic Hariri International Airport.
He began his visit to Lebanon,which will continue untill December 2.
Lebanese citizens shared images in the streets showing Pope Leo XIV alongside Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, Secretary-General of Hezbollah and a prominent Shia religious leader in Lebanon.
The itinerary includes official and humanitarian engagements such as a formal welcome at the Presidential Palace by General joseph Aoun, President of Lebanon. Additionally, a large-scale mass is planned at downtown Beirut expected to draw over 120,000 attendees.
