Erdoğan and Macron Discuss Ukraine, Caucasus, and Gaza in Phone Call

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and French President Emmanuel Macron discussed the war in Ukraine, developments in the Caucasus, Gaza, and Syria, as well as bilateral relations in a recent phone call. Erdoğan emphasized Turkey’s readiness to exert all efforts to open the doors to peace between Russia and Ukraine as quickly as possible.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke with French President Emmanuel Macron by telephone, discussing a range of critical geopolitical issues.

During the call, Erdoğan underscored Turkey’s commitment to deploying every possible effort to facilitate peace negotiations between Russia and Ukraine with utmost urgency.

The two leaders engaged in discussions encompassing bilateral relations, the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine, regional and international matters, and evolving situations in the Caucasus, Gaza, and Syria.

Erdoğan emphasized the significance of strengthening cooperation between Turkey and France, noting that steps would be taken to achieve this objective.

He indicated that communication with relevant parties to revive the Istanbul negotiation process is ongoing and that all diplomatic channels must be utilized to achieve lasting peace.

The Turkish President affirmed that Turkey’s support for current endeavors, both through ceasefire initiatives and beyond, will continue to increase.

Erdoğan stated that preventing actions that endanger international peace will contribute to peace efforts.
