Egypt Consults IAEA Chief Grossi on Iran Nuclear Program

Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel-Aty held a phone conversation with IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi to discuss the Iran nuclear program, emphasizing de-escalation and continued cooperation.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel-Aty and IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi discussed the Iran nuclear program in a telephone call.

During the conversation, Abdel-Aty stressed the importance of continuing efforts to reduce tension, build confidence, and foster ongoing cooperation.

Abdel-Aty emphasized the importance of pursuing political solutions and resuming dialogue to achieve a comprehensive agreement that considers the interests of all parties to ensure regional security and stability.

He also discussed ways to strengthen cooperation between Egypt and the IAEA for the peaceful use of nuclear energy, as well as the Al-Dabaa nuclear power plant project.
