Gaza Official: Aid Trucks Stranded at Border as Casualties Mount

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Ismail al-Thawabta, Director General of the Government Information Office in Gaza, told Al Jazeera that repeated violations of the Gaza ceasefire by Israeli forces have led to the deaths of 386 additional people.
He stated that there is an urgent need to supply 250,000 tents and prefabricated houses to Gaza, where 288,000 families are currently displaced, with the situation worsening due to the cold weather.
Al-Thawabta emphasized that 6,000 trucks carrying essential aid are currently stranded at border crossings, unable to reach those in need.
He appealed to the international community, President Donald Trump, and the UN Security Council to exert pressure on Israeli forces to allow the passage of aid.
According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza, the ongoing attacks by the Israeli regime’s army have resulted in the deaths of 70,369 people and injuries to 171,069 others in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023.
