Report: Al-Sisi Sets Conditions for Meeting with Netanyahu, Trump in US

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has reportedly set conditions for a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and U.S. President Donald Trump in the United States, according to a Hebrew newspaper.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, an Israeli newspaper, Yedioth Ahronoth, claims Egypt has outlined specific prerequisites for President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, with U.S. President Donald Trump also in attendance.

The report states that Egypt is seeking the signing of a $35 billion gas agreement with Israel, as well as Israel’s withdrawal from the Philadelphi Corridor (the border area with the Gaza Strip) and the Netzarim axis within the Gaza Strip.

According to the report, these conditions have sparked outrage among economic and security circles in Israel.

Netanyahu and al-Sisi have not communicated since the start of the Gaza conflict. However, Hebrew sources indicate that Netanyahu is inclined to approve the gas agreement.
