White House Claims Venezuelan Tanker Carried Oil for IRGC
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the White House has alleged that a seized Venezuelan oil tanker was transporting oil intended for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran.
The U.S. Department of Justice has purportedly issued a judicial order to confiscate the Venezuelan vessel, according to the White House spokesperson.
The spokesperson also stated that President Trump maintains contact with Ukrainian and Russian officials but expressed disappointment and a desire to end the ongoing conflict.
On Wednesday, a Venezuelan oil tanker was seized in Venezuelan waters in a coordinated operation involving the U.S. Coast Guard, FBI, and Homeland Security.
President Trump confirmed the seizure, describing it as the largest vessel confiscated under U.S. sanctions enforcement.
