Five Pakistani Police Officers Killed in Armed Attack in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, five Pakistani police officers were killed in an armed attack on their vehicle in the Gurguri area of Kark district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Witnesses and police officials confirmed that a large contingent of police personnel, including the district police chief, were present at the scene, with search and clearance operations ongoing. Images released by the police show the charred remains of the targeted vehicle.
This attack is part of a recent surge in violence against law enforcement in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Last week, a police officer and his brother were killed in an armed assault in Lakki Marwat district. Earlier this month, another officer died, and five others were injured in the same district. In November, three officers were killed while responding to a terrorist attack on a checkpoint in Hangu.
Local authorities have reiterated their commitment to counter-terrorism operations and urged the public to share any information related to the attackers with security forces.
