Macron Announces Paris Summit for Ukraine Support Coalition in January

French President Emmanuel Macron has revealed that Paris will host a meeting of the ‘Coalition of the Willing’ early next month to coordinate support for Ukraine, with security guarantee negotiations reportedly making headway.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, French President Emmanuel Macron announced that Paris will host another meeting of the ‘Coalition of the Willing’ in early January to assess and coordinate member countries’ support for Ukraine. Macron stated on social media platform X: ‘In early January, we will gather the countries of the Coalition of the Willing in Paris to determine the extent and manner of nations’ participation in supporting Ukraine.’

The French president also emphasized that negotiations for security guarantees have shown progress. This development follows a December 26 report by the Financial Times, citing an unnamed European official, which indicated that coalition members planned to hold fresh talks about resolving the Ukraine crisis next month.

Meanwhile, Ukraine peace negotiations mediated by the White House continue, with the presidents of Ukraine and the United States meeting last night in Miami and describing the outcomes as positive.
