Washington Post Reports at Least One-Quarter of US Missiles in Nigeria Failed
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Washington Post has reported that at least one-quarter of the Tomahawk cruise missiles fired by the United States in Nigeria failed to hit their intended targets. The American newspaper, citing informed sources, also noted that the effectiveness of other missiles launched during the operation remains unclear.
The report highlighted the inefficacy of Washington’s missile strikes in Nigeria, suggesting that these failures expose limitations in US military capabilities. The Washington Post had previously linked the Pentagon’s inability to counter Iranian missile technology as a key factor in President Donald Trump’s decision to refrain from further action against the Islamic Republic.
Last month, the US launched attacks in Nigeria under the pretext of combating ISIS. The Nigerian government and its people have condemned the strikes, denouncing them as a violation of the country’s sovereignty.
