Arab Media Highlights Ayatollah Khamenei’s Response to US President’s Threats

Prominent Arab media outlets have extensively covered statements by Iran’s Supreme Leader in response to threats from the US President, emphasizing defensive capabilities and past American failures against the Islamic Republic.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Iran‘s Supreme Leader’s remarks in response to the US President’s threats have quickly become top news among Arab media, generating significant coverage.

Lebanese news outlet Al-Nusra quoted the Supreme Leader of Iran, stating: “More dangerous than an aircraft carrier is a weapon capable of sinking it.” The outlet underscored the deterrent aspect of his statements.

Al-Ahed news portal in Lebanon, using significant headlines, focused on the deterrent power of the Supreme Leader’s words, reporting: “More dangerous than an aircraft carrier is a weapon that sends it to the depths of the sea.” This media outlet also highlighted his direct address to President Trump, stating: “You will not be able to destroy the Islamic Republic.”

Lebanese networks Al Mayadeen and Al Manar, providing extensive coverage of the speech, emphasized two main points: first, a warning about the vulnerability of American aircraft carriers to weapons that can send them to the ocean depths, and second, the assertion that the United States has failed to bring Iran to its knees over past decades. These outlets quoted the Supreme Leader saying that the US President “will not be able to bring Iran to its knees” and that the country’s purported military might could receive “a very painful blow.”

Al Araby network also reflected the Supreme Leader’s response to the US President, quoting him as emphasizing that “the world’s strongest military may sometimes receive a decisive blow.” The network also referred to another part of the Supreme Leader’s remarks, in which American destroyers and military equipment were described as “dangerous,” while simultaneously stressing that “a weapon capable of sinking them is more dangerous.”

Iraq’s Shafaq News reported: “Khamenei to Trump: You will not be able to bring Iran to its knees.” Baghdadia reported headlines stating: “Khamenei described imposing pre-determined outcomes on any negotiation as ‘irrational behavior’.”

In Yemen, Al Masirah and Saba News Agency widely published these statements, emphasizing the failure of decades-long US policies against Iran and considering the Supreme Leader’s words as a sign of Tehran’s confidence in its deterrent capabilities.

Iraq’s Shafaq News Agency reported: “Iran’s Supreme Leader: No one can bring the Islamic Republic to its knees.” Al-Araby Al-Jadeed also featured headlines such as “Khamenei to Trump: More dangerous than your carriers is a weapon that sends them to the bottom of the sea,” placing this issue at the forefront of their coverage and describing it as a clear message against American military threats.

Overall, Arab media focused primarily on three key points from the Supreme Leader’s statements: first, emphasizing the vulnerability of American military equipment in case of any hostile action; second, recalling Washington’s decades-long failures in containing the Islamic Republic; and third, clarifying that threats and pressure will lead nowhere.
